Setting up our CTI software TAPICall with matching TAPI driver from the manufacturer of the device is very easy and in most cases also to be done by the layman. 1. Windows & Outlook
You need a Windows PC (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 or 10 in 32/64 Bit) with Microsoft Outlook as 32bit version. The following Outlook versions are supported:
- Outlook 2002
- Outlook 2003
- Outlook 2007
- Outlook 2010
- Outlook 2013
- Outlook 2016
- Outlook 2019
- Office 365
If you have Outlook / Office in 64-bit, please note these instructions.
2. TAPI driver
You need a TAPI-enabled telephone or a TAPI-enabled telephone system, one FRITZ! or a Softphone, Almost all modern systems support TAPI. A list of over 750 tested Devices and drivers can be found here, Depending on the device, the connection can be made via COM port, USB, LAN or via ISDN card.
You simply install the TAPI driver yourself. This is about as complex as the installation a printer driver. For USB devices must first the USB driver and then installing the TAPI driver. Then it should appear in the Control Panel under "Phone and Modem" after clicking on "Advanced" and be configured there. 3. Start TAPICall
After the installation of TAPICall start Outlook, TAPICall starts automatically. You will be prompted to make the basic settings and you're there.
